MUDGE: Lloyd Norman

Lloyd MudgeAfter a small stay at Chateau Gardens Nursing Home in Parkhill. Lloyd passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 26, 2014 in his 84th year. Lloyd Mudge a longtime resident of Ingersoll retired to Grand Bend. Beloved husband of Helen (Adair) Mudge for 63 years. Loving father of Dave (Patti), Judi Mudge and Dan (Barb). Cherished grandpa / papa of Jodi Heffren, Kendra Bloomfield, Kristyn Yeck, Kyle, Lea, Luke Boltuc, Shayne and great grandchildren Nathan Bloomfield, Hayley Bloomfield, Mason Bloomfield, Claire Yeck and Wyatt Bloomfield. Dear brother of Ken (Charlotte) and brother-in-law to June and Mary Lou. He was predeceased by four brothers and sisters. Friends will be received at the McBeath-Dynes Funeral Home 246 Thames Street South, Ingersoll on Wednesday, March 5, 2014 from 1-2 pm with the funeral service at 2pm. Spring interment will be in Harris Street Cemetery. Memorial donations in Lloyd’s memory to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada (cheques accepted) would be appreciated.

SUTHERLAND: Carl

roseCarl Bruce Sutherland, in his 91st year died on February 26, 2014 at home as was his wish. Carl was the son of the late Hugh and May Sutherland. He was predeceased by his wife Beryl (1999), his oldest daughter Carolyn Harrison (2012) and his sister Catherine Armstrong (2010). Carl was a father to daughters Susan and Pam Petrie (Gary), sons David, Steve (Cathy), Jody (Tish), Riath (Nancy) and Kimble (Liz). Carl is also lovingly remembered by his fifteen grandchildren and was a great grandfather to four. He was an uncle to four and father-in-law to William Harrison. Carl was a lifelong resident of RR 4 Embro. He was a farmer and later a member of Labourers Union Local 1059. In his retirement, Carl took great pleasure in tending to his annual garden of gladiolus. Carl was very grateful for the wonderful support provided by the Community Care Access Centre, Saint Elizabeth nurses, and the tremendous individual care provided by his Personal Support Workers through Red Cross partners which allowed him to stay living at home. Friends will be received at the McBeath- Dynes Funeral Home 246 Thames Street South, Ingersoll Monday 2-4 and 7-9 pm. The funeral service will be held in the funeral home on Tuesday, March 4, 2014 at 11 am. Interment to follow later in Oxford Memorial Park Cemetery. VLEMMIX : John Thomas

John Vlemmix (2)Born June 15, 1923 in Lierop, N. Brabant, Holland died February 16, 2014 in Woodstock, ON. Now reunited with his beloved wife, Liza (1997) and his son Johnny (1961). He leaves loving memories to be cherished by his children, Reny (Janette) Vlemmix, Henrietta (Robert ) Kirwin, Mary Ann (Ray) Anderson, Liz (Brian) Ellis, Harry (Henri) Vlemmix, and the grandchildren he was so proud of, Chris Vlemmix (Laurie), Jake Vlemmix (Paula), Lisa Kirwin (Patrick), Michelle Kirwin (Rob), Cory Ellis (Kyla), Matt Ellis, Robyn Kirwin, David Vlemmix (Ky), Amy Kirwin (Troy), Rebecca Vlemmix, Ethan Vlemmix and his precious great grandchildren, Liam, Launa, Jonathan, Tallia, Luca, Austin and Alyia. Lovingly remembered by his sisters, Anna (Peter) Kurstjens, Toni (Bill) Vandenberk, Koos (Arnold) VandenBoomen, Jean (Luke) Mommersteeg and his in-laws, Grada Vlemmix, Tina Haasen, Marinus Haasen, John and Dien Haasen, Harrie and Willy Haasen and the many nieces and nephews who enjoyed visits with their “Ome Jan”. John was predeceased by his parents, Marinus and Johanna Vlemmix, brothers, Martin Vlemmix and Tom Vlemmix and his sister Mary Mennen. He was also predeceased by his brothers and sisters-in-law, Peter Mennen, Peter Haasen, Jean Vlemmix, Anna Haasen, Arnold and Jean Haasen, Jost and Drieka Haasen, Tees and Jans Haasen, Bert and Diena Haasen and Louis and Hannakah Haasen. Enormous gratitude is extended to John’s many close and supportive friends, Dr. Tom Mayberry, and the amazing group of caregivers who provided nursing care to John in both his Ingersoll home and Woodstock’s Woodingford Lodge. Friends will be received at the McBeath-Dynes Funeral Home 246 Thames Street South, Ingersoll on Wednesday, from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Parish Prayers will be held at 3:45 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Sacred Heart Church 131 Thames Street North, Ingersoll on Thursday, February 20, 2014 at 11 am Fr. Gilbert Simard presider. Spring interment will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery. Memorial donations in John’s memory to the Lung Association (cheques accepted) would be appreciated.
