rosePeacefully with his wife by his side on Wednesday, March 19, 2014 in his 90th year. Beloved husband of 67 years to Margaret (MacMillan) Marr. Loving father of Karen Garton (Ken), Robert (Karen) and James (Karen). Cherished grandpa of Paul, Robert, William and great grandsons Hunter and Brennan. Slim was predeceased by his brothers and sisters. Slim was a WWII veteran, where he was a member of the Royal Canadian Air Force. He was also employed for over 40 years at Ingersoll Machine & Tool. Friends will be received at the McBeath-Dynes Funeral Home on Saturday, March 22, 2014 from 10-11 am with the Funeral Service at 11 am. Spring interment will be in Ingersoll Rural Cemetery. Dennis GibbonsDennis passed away at University Hospital, London surrounded by his family on Friday, March 28, 2014 at the age of 51 years. Dearly loved husband of Jackie (nee Fowlie) for 28 years. Loving dedicated dad of Brittany, Brandon and Bryan – the 3 “Brs”. Cherished son of Roy and Vera (nee Hislop) Gibbons. Dear brother of Debbie Currie (Greg), Don (Sue), Dave (Denise) and Diane Callbeck (Milt). Son-in-law of Jean Fowlie and Chuck (Ev) Fowlie. Brother-in-law of Randy, Rick, Jim (Laura). Dennis was taken much too early in life and will be greatly missed by his many dear friends including his special canine friends Penny, Buddy and Gracie. He was a person of very few words but touched many with his quiet, kind and supportive approach to life. Dennis had many passions including a love of the outdoors, woodworking, chainsaw wood carving and time spent at the family’s Lake Huron cottage. Friends will be received at the McBeath-Dynes Funeral Home 246 Thames Street South, Ingersoll Monday 2-4 and 7-9 pm. CAMPBELL: Gladys Leota (nee Allin)

roseDaughter of the late Harold and Olive (Foreman) Allin. Peacefully at Alexandra Hospital on Tuesday, March 25, 2014 in her 97th year. Beloved wife of the late Gordon Campbell. Mother of Wayne Campbell (Ann). Gladys was predeceased by her son Lorne and her daughter Dianne. Grandmother of Tammy (Glen) Riach, Breck Campbell (Jennifer Palmer), Jennifer Campbell, Graham Campbell, Jennifer (Ken) Edgar, Abby (Dean) Edwards, Lisa (Shawn) Ward, Aaron (Vanessa) Seymour. Great grandmother of Nathan, Corrin, Aubrey, Adelaide, Keagan, Colin, Tucker, Sidny, Alexis, Tobias and Amelia. Dear sister of Marjorie McLarty (and the late Robert). She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. Mom was born in the Mount Elgin area and spent most of her life there. The three most important things in Gladys’s life were her family, her Church and her community. She and Gordon shared a wonderful life together and were rarely seen apart. They were immensely proud of their family and devoted to her church (Mount Elgin United). She spent many hours selling tickets for church and community dinners and taking tickets at the door. Mom will always be remembered for the bread and roll baking and the many quilts she made. She will sadly be missed but kindly remembered. Friends will be received at the McBeath-Dynes Funeral Home Thursday from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm. Funeral service is Friday, March 28, 2014 at 2 pm at the Mount Elgin United Church, 324105 Mt. Beloved wife of the late Lloyd Finley (June 9, 2011). Loving mother of Cindy Finley (Walter Weber) of Mississauga, Cheryl Parent (Andrew) of South Carolina, and Colleen Preston (Ron) of Leamington. Cherished Grandma of Alexandra, Sarah, Toni Marie, Nathan, Jessica, Shane, Christopher, Caitlin and great grandchildren Melissa, Brandon, Johnny and Jason. Dear sister of Hughie Knights (Marg). Predeceased by her granddaughter Heather, her brothers Gord, Jack, Mickey and Sisters Ruth and Margaret.
