Peacefully at her residence on Wednesday, November 19, 2014. Beloved wife of James Lewis of Princeton and the late Jack Scott (1974). Donna was the last surviving member of her family. She was predeceased by her parents George Jackson (1976) and Isabel Jackson (1985); her daughter Mary Ann (1969). As per Donna’s request there was no funeral service. McQUIGGIN: Mary Doreen (Heckford) – Beloved wife of the late R. Bruce McQuiggin (1998). Loving mother of Wanda Armstrong-Webb & her husband Garry Webb, Diane & her late husband Jim Wallington, Mary Jane & her husband Stephen Phillips, Wayne McQuiggin (Linda) and David McQuiggin. Sadly missed by 11 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren and 8 great great grandchildren. Sister of Wanda & her husband Glen Clark, Eva Clark, Patricia & her husband Gary Des Landes, Wesley Heckford & his wife Beth. Also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Mary was CEO of a 35 bed hospital in Chesley, Ontario, where she was trained in administration, taking X-rays, taking blood, operating room nurse or ordering for the pharmacy. It was stated that Mary delivered most of the babies in Chesley due to doctors being on the golf course. She was an active board member for the local school and Baptist Church in Chesley. Mary retired from nursing 22 years ago from Alexandra Hospital, Ingersoll after working 45 years in her chosen field. She was currently an involved board member of a new agency P.S. Cycles of Life for Supportive Transitional Living for Oxford County. Mary believed all deserved a second chance. Friends will be received at the McBeath-Dynes Funeral Home, 246 Thames St. S., Ingersoll on Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9p.m. Funeral Service will be conducted in the funeral home chapel on Monday November 24, 2014 at 1p.m. Private Family interment. Donations in Mary’s memory may be made to the Charity of Your Choice.
