HAYCOCK, Mervin Frederick – Peacefully at University Hospital in London, Ontario on October 23, 2014, Mervin Frederick Haycock in his 91st year has gone to join his family in Heaven. Born on May 17, 1924, in London, Ontario. Shortly after Merv was born, the family moved to Windsor, Ontario. In July 1933, the family moved to Ingersoll, Ontario where Merv attended public school and Ingersoll Collegiate. He was predeceased by his mother Mary (Mae) Haycock (1972), his father Bruce Haycock (1939) brother Herbert Haycock (1983) and sister Pearl Bennet (1995). He was the last surviving member of his immediate family. Survived by his loving partner and best friend, Linda (Malcolm) Warren for over 26 years, son Mark Haycock (Wendy), of Black Mountain, N.C., daughter Judy Durocher, of Barrie, grandsons, Michael, David, Matthew, Brandon and 4 great-grandchildren, Linda’s son Jeff Kennedy of St. Thomas and daughter Andrea Denise Kennedy of London. Cremation has taken place. Visitation will take place at the McBeath-Dynes Funeral Home, 246 Thames St. S., Ingersoll, on Saturday November 1, 2014 from 10:00 to 10:50 a.m. followed by a Celebration of Life Service at 11:00 a.m. with interment to follow in Harris Street Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Alzheimer Society or a charity of your choice will be greatly appreciated by the family.
